Full Day Journey to Uros Floating Island – Taquile Natural Island
The journey begins from the main port of Puno, we will start our trip towards the floating islands of the Uros, will sail along the canal following its trail that will take us to the National Reserve where you will find a wide variety of resident and migratory birds. Then will arrive to the famous floating islands of the Uros, an archipelago built from the root of the reeds that still keeps a traditional lifestyle of people from there. As we visit the islands we will share their everyday experiences.
Then we continue sailing through the Reserve until the vast Titicaca Lake will appear before our eyes. There is no other alternative that simply appreciate its beauty until we reach Taquile Natural Island. If there is any place you feel like walking on the clouds, this is Taquile. Only our presence breaks the chromatic harmony existing between the lake beneath our feet and the endless sky above our heads. People from Taquile are traditional weavers; they produce textiles that have been declared World Heritage by UNESCO. The guide will explain about the culture, which is expressed in their traditional costumes and traditions. Let the amazing views of the Andes impress you while enjoying the lunch at Titicaca Lake.
