Day 01: Uyuni – Salt Flats – Incahuasi (Fish Island) – San Juan
At 7AM you will be arriving to Uyuni, we will transfer you from the bus station to our office, where you will have some free time to enjoy breakfast until the tour begins at 11AM.
In this tour we will visit the world’s largest salt desert. Along the way we will visit the following places:
Train cementery; you will see vintage and old fashioned trains and locomotives from late 1890’s and early 1900’s. They were used to carry and transport salt and minerals throughout Bolivia and South America. At that time they were an important key of the industry.
Colchani Town; is the entrance to the salt desert, here you can observe the process of extraction of salt by hand from its original form.
Salt Hotel, it is located just in the heart of the salt desert, it was built entirely from blocks made of salt. It is considered as a beautiful piece of art because of its details made of salt, such as chairs, beds and tables and all the main structure as well.
Incahuasi island; known as “Isla delPescado”, this island is located in the heart of the desert too and it is populated by the giant Cacti with a length of 10 meters. From the top of the island you will be able to see the wonderful landscape of the salt flats of Uyuni. We will provide a nice lunch and afterwards we will go to the town of San Juan, once here we will provide dinner and a basic accommodation with a local family.

Day 02: San Juan – Tree Rock – Lagoons – Laguna Colorada
The next stop of our adventure is Laguna Colorada (Red Lagoon), we will pass through a viewpoint of the volcano of Ollague, we will also pass and see the lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota and Honda, they are famous for being the habitat of flamingos. We will provide lunch at around noon and once finished we will continue through the Siloli desert where we will be able to see the uncommon and unique rock formation called “Arbol de Piedra” (Stone Tree). After the tour, we will arrive to Laguna Colorada which is located at Eduardo Avaroa National Park; there we will provide dinner and basic accommodation with a local family.

Day 03: Laguna Colorada – Laguna Verde – Uyuni
We will depart early in the morning to enjoy the Geyseer and volcanic vents known as “Sol de Mañana” (Morning Sun), then we will continue to the hot springs of Polques where you can have a nice relaxing time in the water, afterwards we will visit beautiful Green and white Lagoons at the feet of the Volcano, at the altitude of 4350 m.a.s.l. In this place you can appreciate the intense green color of the lagoon; the color is due its high content of magnesium which is found in the area. Once the tour is finished we will start the way back to the town of Uyuni, the way passes through the Valley of Rocks and the small towns of Villa Alota, Kulpinak and San Cristobal. We will arrive to Uyuni at around 6:30PM.
